(State of Vermont - General Index to Vital Records : 1760 to 1870 & 1871 to 1908, Martha Harvey, age 21, of Windsor m. Wood, Artemas H 4 Sept 1878 in Windsor; Martha b. St Johnsbury; mother Sophronia E Hill; father Ferdinand Harvey.) Neither Artemas nor Martha were found in the 1880 census for Windsor Co., VT. Martha Harvey was the only one of Ferdinand and Sophronia's children who did not move from St.Johnsbury, VT to California in late 1871 or 1872. I have thus far been unable to determine where/who Martha lived with from the time her family left VT until the time of her marriage in 1878. Thaddeus F HARVEY b. 1845 and Viola Augusta HARVEY b.1850 were siblings of Martha H Harvey. I have most of their lives pretty well covered but am lacking completely what happened to Martha. FTM CD # 322 gives the following information re : Artemus H WOOD : Artemus H. Wood : 1900 Federal Census; Lynn, Essex Co., MA; Microfilm Roll Number 644; Microfilm Page # 40 I would like to make contact with anyone knowledgeable of this WOOD family in Lynn, Essex Co., MA ca. 1880 -- 1900 +. I have a fairly extensive HARVEY data base and would like to exchange information with interested relatives. This Harvey family has an earlier marriage into the Luther WOOD family of VT but I have not been able to connect Artemus to this Vermont WOOD family Also, if anyone has an opportunity to take a look at the aforementioned 1900 Lynn census to see who else is listed as being in the family it would certainly be of help. Hello, I'm searching for Alice HARVEY who would have been born around 1880-1900 in either Kentucky or West Virginia. She was married to William BANKS, Sr and they had at least two children: Grant and Ellen BANKS. Her son Grant BANKS is my grandfather's half brother. Grant is dying of cancer and has never seen a picture of his mother and he desperately wants one. Dear Fellow Harvey Researchers, I have been adding to and updating "The Harvey Genealogist" website over the past month. I wanted to bring a couple of the regular features of the site to the attention of new list members - and perhaps some of the 'old timers"! I will also be sending this post on both The Harvey Genealogist mailing list and The Rootsweb Harvey Discussion List (which is a totally different list), so if you received it already, feel free to delete the duplicate message! You will find that THG is divided into several regional 'research centers' and a few general 'departments'. One of the departments is the Library. If you haven't had an opportunity to visit the Harvey Library, I hope you will take a moment to do so. We have compiled a comprehensive list of Harvey Genealogical works, and in many cases have provided purchase information. Hi list, I'm back again with my Indian Thomas Harvey and his son Bill Harvey. looking for Harveys that are from Mississippi and have Native Americans in their family Tree. Thomas had a daughter Lucy Harvey married to Archibold Cameron and all their children and Bill Harvey came to Montague Co. Texas from Choctaw Co, Ms. in 1874.
