    1. [HARVEY-L] ROLL CALL - Most Wanted Harveys
    2. Ann Lahtinen
    3. Dear Fellow HARVEY (et var.) Researchers, It's a good time to give our new (or old) MOST WANTED HARVEYS! We have lots of new list members and many haven't shared their HARVEY queries as of yet! So lets take a few moments to name our MOST WANTED HARVEYs . Here's the Guidelines: 1) HARVEY or Harvey-Varients ONLY, please!!! 2) Pick your ONE Most Wanted Harvey and send a brief query 3) Please don't send the entire Family Outline or Report! 4) Give the Name, A date, & A Location in the subject line, i.e.: > Andrew Harvey 1776 Sussex Co. VA This type of roll call can generate a lot of list activity. If you are a L subscriber, but do not wish to get each email separately for a while, please consider switching to a D subscription and getting the Digest form of the HARVEY list. To do so, you will need to send TWO emails. The first will be to UNsubscribe from HARVEY-L: Send the email to HARVEY-L-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM and write just the single word "unsubscribe" in the body of the message. That's all; do not put anything else in the body of the email. The Second Email will be to subscribe from HARVEY-D: Send the email to HARVEY-D-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM and write just the single word "subscribe" in the body of the message. That's all; do not put anything else in the body of the email. If you have any questions about subscribing or unsubscribing from the list (or any other List Concerns), please send them to my email box at lahtinen@earthlink.net - please do NOT send them to the entire list, ok? Thanks! -- Kindest Regards, -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Ann Harvey Lahtinen -------------------- www.HarveyGenealogy.com GOONS/ONS#2938 HARVEY-L Administrator

    1. [HARVEY-L] Harveys in Bristol, England
    2. Maureen Driver
    3. Greetings, listers. I'm looking for information about my ancestors Harvey. I have information that Henry Harvey married Rebecca Wait in Bristol in 1835. They were both, according to the fiche, born in Bristol, and the 1851 census indicates the same. Henry was apparently born in 1815 if the census age is correct, with Rebecca (nee Wait) being born in 1819. They had several children, 6 of them being baptised on the same day, January 3rd 1857. I don't know the significance of that at this stage. Rebecca, Emma, James, Charles, Henry and Ellen were the children, born from 1837 - 1848. If anyone recognises this family or can offer any suggestions I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance. Maureen V. 1. [HARVEY-L] Harvey's/Lee's/ Kentucky (?) to Missouri
    2. Clark Nebeker
    3. Greetings, I am looking for the family of William Harvey married to Elizabeth Cook. I have no dates or other information on these folks except that I believe they came from Kentucky. The basis for my assumption of their origin is that one daughter Salley Harvey married Noah Green Lee in Kentucky. Another daughter, Nancy Harvey married Richard Lee 13 March 1818 in Missouri. Another possible daughter is Celia Ann Harvey who married Gideon Wright, they got married in Kentucky and ended up in Missouri as well. Possible grandchild of this group is Nelson Harvey who married Melinda Pemberton 1 October 1874 in Missouri. Do you know these folks or have information? I would love to hear from you. Thank you, Susan Nebeker nebeker@centurytel.net

    3. Is anyone working with Harvey in the New Brunswick area. I have hit a brick wall in the past year with George Harvey married to 1st wife Venerante Rossignol (Van Buren, Maine), 2nd wife Marie ??. He shows up married to Venerante in the 1871, 1881, and then married to Marie in 1891, 1901 in the Madawaska/Victoria County, New Brunswick. Then he disappears. I have his children all baptised in Grand Falls, New Brunswick. Some are buried in the local area. I need to find George's parents to continue. In a Census, it states George was from Quebec, family states towards the eastern Maine/Canada border???? Any leads would be appreciated. Thank-you in advance. I have added more families to John Harvey of Lunenburg County VA.. I have added his sons and some of his grandsons. I am adding more daily. The Census are not all complete. I more than likely have missed some names that you may notice. 2. Ann Lahtinen
    3. PLEASE REPLY TO MR. ALLEN IN REGARDS TO THIS POST. SUBJECT:Blassingame W. Harvey - Zana, San Augustine County, Texas From: "Philip G. Allen" <dra@ih2000.net> Blassingame W. Harvey came to this immediate area which is just outside Broaddus, TX in or about 1824 having departed Louisiana. He married the daughter of Col. Stephen Prather. He is buried in the Snell-Wood Cemetary which now overlooks Sam Rayburn Lake. I have a lake house just across the road from this cemetary and have known the family for almost forty years. Should there be a need for more information, I will be happy to find out what I can. Philip G. Allen I noticed a Blassingame Harvey, Sr. from Georgia whose date of will probation would likely place him as a candidate for the father of this one. The will mentions a Billy Blassingame Harvey which reasonably could be Blassingame W. (or William, "called Billy") Harvey. The will's manner suggests little attention to standardization of spellings or for that matter order in individual names.

Recorded this 17th Oct. 1797 ~~~~ ===================================================================================================== Taking this deed into account then looking at what John Boddie wrote in his account of the Harvey's of Lunenburg County VA. in Historical Southern families volume 1. Under John Harvey he writes that John was a son of and Unknown Harvey and was born abt 1700. He also ahd a wife Mary. He talks about the deeds in Bedford County where they sell their land and move to SC. He lists deeds in Carven county. I have posted those deeds to the list already and believe they show that this was not John Harvey but the 7 Harvey brothers who came to Craven county then called 96th district then called Laurens County and Berkeley County SC.. The ones in Granville or Greenville county or district are the John Harvey whose wife was Mary and the Father of the four Harvey brothers and not the son John Harvey. The John Harvey in What was Craven county then Laurens also had a wife name Mary but had only 2 sons and 3 daughters total. He appears in the 1790 Census of SC in Laurens County with 3 daughters and 1 son under 16 years of age who I believe is my Thomas G. Harvey. Getting back to Greenville County. 1756 H610 GREENVILLE, SC HARVEY George TaxR 000 236 Muster Roll H610 GREENVILLE, SC HARVEY James TaxR 000 232 Muster Roll H610 GREENVILLE, SC HARVEY John TaxR 000 236 Muster Roll H610 GREENVILLE, SC HARVEY John TaxR 000 236 Muster Roll H610 GREENVILLE, SC HARVEY William TaxR 000 229 Muster Roll This then shows John Harvey the father and two of his sons possibly more. George Harvey may be another son of John Harvey and his wife Mary. William Harvey who married Elizabeth Mikel had no son George. All these Harvey's would have to be about 22 years old or older which means they were all born before or about 1734. James may also be another son becuase he would be too young to be a son of William Harvey from what I understand. William Harvey had a son John but am not sure when he was born. I believe he would be to young yet to be listed here. If the other John Here is a brother to William Harvey then this would cause a problem for the sons that John Boddie says may belong to John. John was thought to have gone to NC but this data would present a problem because Why would John be here in 1756 but his sons Michael and Thomas Harvey not show up in Edgefield county SC and stay in NC instead. Michael Harvey died in NC in 1805 and from what I understand never came to SC. His children did though. Thomas Harvey did come to Georgia how early is not certain. This may also raise a question of if all the sons John Boddie assigans to John harvey, brother to Thomas, William, and Charles, are actually his. John Harvey assumes the John who came here was their brother but the deed above states it was their father. So the John harvey senior and junior by John Boddie was actual The Father of the Harvey's of Lunenburg County and his son John, William, Maybe George and James. So all total there may have been 6 brothers from Lunenburg County VA. instead of just 4. I need to do extensive research in this area. I also noticed that before 1775 people had to go to Charleston to register their deeds and such. If you look at the Census and other information before 1790 you see a John Harvey in or near Charleston as early as 1740. Now question would be who is this John Harvey?
