Shown also are several generations of descendants. There is also some biographical reference material in the LDS microfilm 1035671, which you can order from any LDS Family History Center. You have probably already been down this road, however. If not I hope this helps. Good luck on your quest. These might even be my Harveys'. I was never able to connect my Harveys to any line. Ann, If you have the book "The Tie That Binds: Harvey etc." by Landreth & Smith would you check the index and see if it has a Kinchen Smith Harvey. Kinchen Smith Harvey was b. ca 1796 NC, married 6 April 1819 Greene Co. TN to Nancy McClain. With the name Kinchen Smith Harvey I figure it must be two maiden names but have yet to find a clue to Kinchen Smith Harveys parents. In Greene Co. TN in 1799 James Harvey wit. a deed. On the tax rolls in 1809 & 1810 there was a William Harvey, 1814-16 George Harvey, 1816 Thomas Harvey and 1816 James. The tax rolls skip to 1828. If anyone is working any of these Greene Co. TN Harveys would love to hear from you. Nona Thompson
Hello HARVEY researchers Is anyone researching a James HARVEY born abt 1805 GA, married Minerva(maiden name unknown) born abt 1812 LA. They were probably married late 1820's. Believe they were listed in the 1830 Copiah Co, MS census and probably living with a J. N. HARVEY 1840 Rankin Co, MS. James is listed in the 1850 Rankin Co, MS census with the following children. Sarah, Samantha Ann, Elizabeth, John, Francis(Frank), Martha, Susan, Nancy, George(1860 listed as William), James(listed in 1860 Rankin Co censu) John, Frank, Nancy and Martha moved to TX. My greatgrandmother Minerva(May) WEEMS, born abt 1863 MS, was living with Nancy and her husband Charles MASSENGALE 1880 Ellis Co, TX. Family story states that Nancy was Minerva's aunt. Appreciate any help. Thank you. Vicki
Wasn't someone looking for a Nancy HARVEY the other day?????
OK, that helps alot, The Rhea's were Baptist in 1831, before that they were Presbyterian. I suspect that the Baptist, came from the female side of the family. Which would be Lawrence-Harvey family. But I understand that Ballard's were Quaker. Interesting isn't it. Pat

I am looking for information on John W. HARVEY. He married Caroline SULLIVAN on April 1, 1860 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. I don't know anything about John W.'s parents or siblings. Caroline's parents were Thomas and Paulina Sullivan of Jefferson Co., Illinois ( Spring Garden ). I did find Caroline HARVEY in the 1870 Illinois Census living with her parents. She had two children, John Thomas HARVEY and Mary HARVEY. She must have been widowed...could John W. HARVEY be a casualty of the Civil War ?? I did find three John W. HARVEYS in the IL Civil War list. Any suggestions as to how to proceed ? Thanks. Janis Foley [email protected]
In general, it is helpful if you give some information on a location, as there are many Harvey lines out there. Good luck, Mike White

Edwin, Please wait now to post your family tree again. About once a month will be fine. There were many HARVEY families. The HARVEY's had many children and those children had many, and on and on. We have not nailed down every single branch. We're working on it. Do you have marriage records, land records, death records? If you do you might post a few, once in a while. Also check out the Harvey ARchives at http://lists.rootsweb.com/~archiver/lists/HARVEY-L/1997/November and the List Archiver at http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch This one you type in the List that you want, and then type in a query, it will search and give you how many messages, that contain your query. you then can open up those messages and read and print if you want. Hi, John and others who are descendents of William Harvey and Judith Bolen. You may already know of this book, but just in case, this line is the subject of the book, "The Tie That Binds: Harvey United with Lake, Bridgewater, Clark, Smith, Stratton, Carter, Dotterer & Other Families" by Marilyn Lake Landreth & Roy Harvey Smith. Hope this is useful! Ann -- Ann Harvey Lahtinen, Steward <[email protected]> The Harvey Genealogist The Harvey Surname Association http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/6575/

One of Martin's sons, Thomas HARVEY (1818-1901), was a Baptist minister in Benton Co., Missouri. Allison A. Patterson

My father moved to CA in 1938 when I was 4 years old. I currently live in Hemet, CA. My wife and I have photos of the house which were published in a booklet about Pennsbury Twp. which we found at the Chester County Historical Society in PA. We also don't know the name of the ship. Neither do we know anything about Judith and Peter's children. We thought that we would try to find out more the next time we visit our daughter in PA. Does anyone know anything about William or Judith's ancestry in England?
