Sherry, as I stated before I have no proof of who James siblings were. He did have sons named John and Francis. Did your Lemuel HARVEY live is MS? Vicki
Yes, Pat, I have posted MUCH Maryland info on both the Harvey mail list and with Ann's Harvey Genealogist list. Since we've been seeing a lot of KY recently, thought it was time to repost my field of interest from a different place. - ---------------------------- At 01:08 AM 1/9/98 EST, you wrote: >Have you checked the HARVEY GENEALOGIST to see if any of your family is listed >there? > >Pat > > >==== HARVEY Mailing List ==== > >Web Archives >http://lists.rootsweb.com/~archiver/lists/HARVEY-L/ > > > > >
Sorry people ... a typo on my submission here!! Should read 1735 - not 1635 (that's another line). I apologize for the error. ---------- Still looking for info/descendants on Harveys of Prince George's Co., MD ca. 1635-1810 (at least): John Harvey James Harvey Eleanor (Groome) Harvey William Groome Harvey Leonard Harvey Newman Harvey All Harveys from the Pr. George's County censuses. Thank you, Ruby
I very much enjoy reading the postings on this list. I was very lucky in the beginning, made some contacts that has helped, found some relatives, and in the process of waiting for "snail mail" information. Could we please stop the problems and start over? I don't enjoy the problems no matter who created them. I am interested in finding my family..If I want to fight and argue, I would listen to my grandkids. thanks so much Machelle Hammack Bronaugh from Elizabeth (Betsy Harvey) and Lewis Hammock, married 1779, Va
Pat I am here for the same reasons. but the feelings and emotion is just meand come with me as you already know! Teresa lets find some family's
I am here to learn all I can about genealogy and the Harvey line. I am new, and this is my first posting.........A lot of info has been posted which I hope will be helpful to me when I start digging deeper into this line. We can all learn if we share..........and I hope to share what I have by next week ..... .....I use FO 6, and I am still experimenting with copying the file so that it can be sent to the list, but not as an attachment. (I am too lazy and old to do all that typing.) Regards to all Phyllis H. Lynchburg VA
Vicki and Mike, Do you know if your James and John had a brother named Lemuel? I have Lemuel b. 1798 in GA. and he has sons James, John and Francis + others. Sherry
List Members- I want you all to know, Ann and I are on the same side. We are talking together to have this list compliment the HARVEY GENEALOGIST. We are brainstorming, as to how best to use these committees and Team Leaders, for the better good of the HARVEY worldwide family. Please do not consider leaving the list, yet! I think what we come up with in the next few weeks will be pleasing to all of us, and all the hard work that many of you have done for the HARVEY GENEALOGIST, in the past and in the future, will be for all of us. Pat

Vicki, My GGGF, John Harvey, was born in GA in 1800. One of his brothers was named James, but I have never had any further info about him (James). Could there be a connection? Mike, thank you for your reply. I do not know who James HARVEY'S siblings were or his parents. I do have a few possible names that could be related. There was a John N. HARVEY on the 1845 Rankin Co, MS state census and I believe he is the same person who was the J. N. HARVEY listed on the 1840 Rankin Co census and also believe James and his family may have been living with him at that time. There is a marriage for a John HARVEY to Rebecca TRUMIN July 21, 1836 Rankin Co, MS. I think different John's because the one in the census record would have been to young according to age on census. There is another possible name, Elijah, he is listed in the 1850 Jones Co, MS census and died 1859 Rankin Co. Maybe he was visiting relatives. Elijah was born abt 1804 GA. Then there are the HARVEY'S listed in the 1830 Copiah Co, MS census. Abram A., Joel,Sr, John N.(unsure if correct initial) and Nehemiah. Have some information on these HARVEY'S except John. Nehemiah or a John Wade could be father of James. Does any of this connect? Vicki
