    3. John M. Harvey, Do you have any other information on your William Harvey 111(1740-1781) that married Elizabeth Carter(1736-1832)? I am probably grasping at straws however, there is always a chance. I am trying to connect to the Harvey Family. I have a relative whose name was James Harvey Ramsey. The Carter family was closely aligned with the Ramseys. So-ooo Any help would be appreciated. Betty Ramsey Huffman

    3. Hello Mac, Good to hear from you - we have a common ancestor in Zachariah HARVEY! I have a Shrewsbury VR showing Rachel's birth as 31 May 1750 and the same marriage date as you do for her marriage to Samuel Norcross. Due to the constraints of time today and the volume of data involved I would point you towards The HARVEY GENEALOGIST at : http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/6575/ There you will be able to access a couple of trees that will give you HARVEY history a long ways back : particularily informative is Richard J. Harvey's tree beginning with Humphrey Harvey. I have one posted also titled "William Harvey, First Proprietor of Taunton, MA 1639" Read the HARVEY BOOK by Oscar Jewell Harvey online there and you will have a good background on the history of your Harvey line. Take a look at these sources and get back to me so that we can decide what info to exchange and how best to do it. BTW Rachel's oldest brother also married into the NORCROSS family on 15 Nov 1764 in Princeton when he and Mary NORCROSS tied the knot. I hope this is what you are searching for. 3. Sherry, the only information I found for a Lemuel HARVEY was in the 1830 Bryan Co, GA census. His age is listed between 30-40. There is also a Lemuel listed in 1850 Bryan Co. GA census. There is one Lemuel in the 1850 and 1860 Tishomingo Co, MS census. He was 22 in 1850 and born in Al. I checked my FTM cd #3 and did not find a Lemuel HARVEY marriage. I did find two marriges in Oglethorpe Co, GA. William HARVEY to J. M. WYNNE in 1823 and a Joseph A. to Martha ENGLAND in 1825. Good luck in your search. Vicki
