Newspaper notice for Saturday September 5, 1795 Notice Whereas on the 12th day of February last, I entered into a contract with John Hendricks of Berkeley County, Virginia, for the sale of a tract of land lying in Carke (?) County adjoining the town of Winchester, in the state of Kentucky, for when I received his bonds, the first payable on the ? day of August, 1795, for 5???, the second on the ? of August, 1797, ???, the third on the ??? of August, 1798, ???on the day that the first bond was due, I apply'd to him for payment, when he requested indulgence until this day, which I comply'd with, but on calling on him for a discharge of the bond due, he was either not able, or willing to comply, and as he has my bond for a conveyance of the above tract of land but has not fulfilled the contract of his part, I hereby forewarn all and every person from dealing in any manner with said Hendricks for said tract of land or taking any assignment on my bond of conveyance aforesaid, as it is null and void, by his twice failing to comply with the tenor of our agreement.
