Hart, Silent Screen actor: Willliam Surrey Hart was born 6 December 1864 in Newburgh, New York, the eldest of eight children of Roseanne (McCauley) and Nicholas Hart. He married, 7 December 1921, Winifred Westover, one of his leading ladies. By May of 1922 they were separated. Their son, William, Jr., was born (post-separation) 6 December 1922. William S. Hart, Sr., d. 23 June 1946 at his ranch in California. If anyone wishes "the scoop" to "read all about it" on William S.
