My great-grandfather Abraham (Abram) HART lived in Mercer County, Pennsylvania, from 1839 till 1905. He and his brothers all said that their father came from Connecticut. He was probably the James HART, possibly James Edward HART, who first appeared in the Mercer County Census in 1820. He would have been born about 1785; he died before the 1850 census. He married Amelia Shaffer about 1818. I would like to hear from anyone connected with, or with knowlege of, this family or with knowlege of Connecticut HARTS of this time period.
