Technically... the two families are relates, since I'm distantly related to the Mixons and I'm a Hart.... But I checked and I'm related to the Mixon's through the Thompson family of this area. The confusion was because I was thinking of a FTM file I received from a Hart cousin in TX that I'm connected to through her ex husband by way of the Thompsons. So... long story short, they are "related" but at least by my notes, not at that period of time.
