Greetings, Does anyone have a Hart that somehow evolved into a Smithhart?? I have found one place that lists the name as Hart, Darby Smith. Darby Smithhart, born 1759, believe NC, died 1846 KY. There are five (5) Smith "Harts" in the whole of the US on the 1790 census's. There are numerous Harts and Smiths in NC counties that I have searched, but no Smith Hart as such. I would say that the name is unique, all five of the males of 1790 census's have this name and appear to be brothers and children. Darby is a Revolutionary Soldier from a SC application.
