Thanks for all the replies! I have posted this before, but here goes again: Fred Listman HART Emma (KIRCHNER) HART Jack B. Richard B. George N. Fred's immigration date unknown. Only known place of residence: City of Chicago, between 1920 and 1935. The only reason I know that is word of mouth - my Dad grew up in Chicago. All I know about Fred is that he was a musician and had a music publishing company. I have orderd a 1920 census check from the NARA, and hope to get an immigration date. I really need a date of death! I only know he died before WWII, because my Dad stayed out of the war to take car of his mother. (The other brothers were serving.) Is it possible to request a death certificate search when I have no idea when he died? Up to now I've been concentrating on my mother's side because I can do all the research right here in my own county. My father's side of the family is starting out to be a real headache! Hopefully I'll be getting some useful information soon. Tim
