My Hart family line begins with Mary Ellen Hart marrying Clinton DeForest in 1848. In Sept. 1868 they were living in Honey Lake (now Susanville), California, when their daughter Sarah Elizabeth married Cyrus Charles Lawson. Since this is all I know, if any Hart family descendants are seeking their own history and come up with similar dates and locations, I would be very grateful if you could share what you have with me. I am very interested in any information about Mary Ellen but also about Sarah Elizabeth too. Sarah Elizabeth Lawson is buried in the city cemetery at Jordan Valley, Oregon. She died in 1925.
