    2. Greetings, Now that you have mentioned a Van Pelt, there are many gurus on the Van Pelt family at Dutch-Colonies-List who will, for sure, be able to help you. An emigrant Van Pelt arrived in Nieuw Amsterdam (now New York City) in 1600s.
