Hi... Have just subscribed to this list, and am researching my US family. I am based in England, UK ;). Information I have is as follows.... Melville R Hart [my grandfather] born 1891 probably Illinois Gladys Dean Brown born 1895 They married in 1914 in San Diego California. The residences for each at that time were - Chula Vista for Gladys and Los Angeles for Melville Their son [my father] was born 11th April 1917 in Walla Walla, Washington: Rollo James Hart he had 1 recorded sibling that I have found : Elizabeth Dean Hart born 22Sept 1915 in Walla Walla Before my dad died he talked about a younger brother - I have found a military record that may be him - if it is the birth year is 1918 His name: Robert P Hart [the P stands for Pickard - spelt it as it sounds, not sure if I have the spelling right ]. I am very new to researching, and started with just my dads name - was lucky enough to turn up a birth entry which has led me to the other info above. If anyone has ANY info, or even some advice on where to search I would be very grateful - if you are wondering at my name not being Hart, there is a story why that is and why I had my hands tied until my dad passed on before I could search his side of the family - maybe will tell the story one day ;) Many thanks and glad to have found this list. regards Dave
