Does anyone have an Elijah Hart in their lineage? I do not have his dates or places except possibly Hartford CT, but he may have been the father of Sarah, born c1743, who md c1763 to Zebulon COLE. Any information would be appreciated.

I have a number of Elijah Hart's, all born near Hartford, CT. They are listed in a book by Alfred Andrews, "Stephen Hart and his Descendants". Cheshire and Bristol are all near Hartford. It is interesting that his mother was named Sarah. 2. I hope this helps you. I suspect that your Elijah Hart is probably a descendant of Stephen Hart, but I can't find an exact match in the book or my information. Here's "my" Elijah, but he doesn't seem to fit your information. Elijah Hart (1792-1818), m. Margaret Hart son of Edward Hart m. Nancy Ann Stout son of John Hart (1713-1779), Signer Declaration of Independence, m. Deborah Scudder John also had a daughter named Sarah (1741- ) m. Jacob Wyckoff.
