Hi, My name is Laurie and I, too, am researching the Hart line. My grandfather was Norman William Hart, b: Nov. 11, 1899 Syracuse, NY; d: Sept. 14, 1977 Baldwinsville, NY. He married Angie Westcott. Norman's father was George A. Hart (my great-grandfather), b: Oct. 31, 1872, Albany, NY; D: Nov. 30, 1936 Syracuse, NY. Married Fannie Belle Finch. George had a brother, Albert J. Hart who married Carrie Miller. George's father was William Hart(my 2nd g-grandfather), b: June 7, 1844 NY; D; Aug. 19, 1882 Baldwinsville, NY. When William was 10 he was adopted by Daniel & Esther (Bedell) Gardner. William married Ella Ann Walker. William was in the Civil War, on 5/17/1861 he mustered into "H" Co. NY 14th Infantry. He was discharged on 6/1/1863 at Utica, NY. In 1872 William lived in Albany, NY; then in 1878 lived in Baltimore, Maryland and in 1880 lived in Fairfield, Virginia. I do not know have any other information on William at this time. If anyone can help me with this line I would greatly appreciated it.
