As list manager, I am requesting that you please remember that this list is a genealogy research list. Please limit your posts to genealogical research. I might suggest that you post your HART information to be shared with all those on the list. For example, do you have census records, wills, land records, etc. ? If you do, why not post that information here. You may very well hold the key to furthering someone else's research. Remember to cite your sources. :) Thank you for your time and assistance. Happy Researching! -Carla
A copy of a post I made about 6 months ago .. any new subscribers know these Harts? Hi, I've been lurking for a while and as of yet I haven't seen any Hart's that I can "identify with" <g> ... but I promise I'm a for real Hart. Problem is, my family has lived in the same area for at least 150 years which is good for that period of information but my GGG Grandfather Harris J. Hart (Hartt) who was b. in 1816 and married a woman named Sarah Bullock who was a sister of William Bullock has me at a semi dead end. He may have been a son or nephew of either John or Archibald Hart of Madison/Oglethorpe Co. GA. I'm leaning toward the Arcibald possibility since Harris J. had a son he named Archie Frank Hartt and the fact that Archibald was married in Oglethorpe Co, GA in 1802 to one Polly Berry... off the top of my head, in either the 1850 or 60 census of Madison Co, Ga has Polly living next door to Harris and Sarah. I'm not sure where the Hart family came from before they came here ... in or around 1800. My grandfather has told me long ago that someone had told him that the family came from North Carolina. Living nearby are surnames such as Spratlin, Bullock, Rice, Thompson, Johnson, Burroughs, Bryant, Bridges ... Irish and English descent prevalent in the immigration of the area, settled mostly by Revolutionary Patriots and their kin. Has anyone heard of or have a clue to where this branch of the Hart family came from ... Thanks in advance ..... Guy

Hi Listers: Is there a mailing list for the Surname HARTER? Thanks Rodd
You are a brave soul to thrust religion out, but not only did you thrust out religion you added to it with Bigotry. On the internet, there are a lot of people whom react according to their mind because of their unknowing of your intention for lack of the ability to see your emotion. I hope you get more enlightened responses than "get this trash out of here." Although, this is not the forum for it. My feeling is that, it is one point of view to consider . . . but I think it just pores salt in the wound and the topic should be approached with love and understanding. How else as a nation (soul to soul) are we to heal. The blame game is not the answer even through the use of God. The human reactions of someone who believes God is to blame would be to rebel against God and vengence, while others react out of fear. I believe we should smile, say hello, be curteous, and pray for the higher good and healing of all for each other. (Prayer in numbers, I believe.) Pure Love is the True Healing Power. ---------- > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected] > Subject: [HART-L] Fwd: A whole new perspective > Date: Wednesday, September 16, 1998 11:16 AM > > This is a multi-part message in MIME format. > > --part0_905962582_boundary > Content-ID: <[email protected]_out.mail.aol.com.1> > Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII > > > > --part0_905962582_boundary > Content-ID: <[email protected]_out.mail.aol.com.2> > Content-type: message/rfc822 > Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit > Content-disposition: inline > > From: [email protected] > Return-path: <[email protected]> > To: [email protected] > Subject: A whole new perspective > Date: Wed, 16 Sep 1998 12:13:42 EDT > Mime-Version: 1.0 > Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII > Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit > > > read this please! this is pretty heavy!
