    1. Re: [HART-L] Some Hart Names We Have
    2. Kimberly Hart
    3. OK Cindy, Here's what I have. I know I may have spoken with you before, but the common names are driving me nuts with wonder. I have been trying to find the parents of one Aaron Hart b. 25 June 1826 in TN and d. 17 April 1867 in TX. One of the theories I have been working on thanks to a cousin is that Aaron was the son of James. Aaron married L. Caroline Gentry in 1845 in Itawamba Co., Mississippi. In looking around the surrounding counties, i.e.; Tishomingo Co. the following census info is found: 1850- Tishomingo Co,. Mississippi James Hart age 44 b. NC Elizabeth age 51 b. SC Lewis A. age 16 b. TN next door: Jasper Hart age 21 b. TN Sarah E. age 20 b. TN Nancy E. age 2 b. MI The 1860 census of Tishomingo shows a John Hart age 27 b.TN and the 1880 census shows Lewis again and a William J. Hart also b. TN. Aaron names his first son James which may or may not fall into the tradition of naming your first son after your father. If you or anyone might have any info on either Aaron or this census info......please......I would love to hear from you! This has been a very frustrating brick wall for me. Thanks! Kimberly Hart

    2. Ardell Lynds
    3. Ezekiel Hart, b. ca. 1810 in Jefferson Co., NY m. Susan Evrard/Euvard, d/o George and Elizabeth Evrard, French Huguenots. Ezekiel went from NY to Highland Co., Ohio where he was living in 1840. According to family legend he drowned before 1850 (not on the census in that year). His wife remarried Benjamin Pointer. Would like to find the marriage record of Ezekiel and Susan. Ezekiel Hart had a least two sons: (1)George Washington Hart, b. July 1835. George "Washington" Hart (the named he used most frequently) said he was b. in Ithaca, Thompkins Co., NY. George Washington Hart m. Elizabeth Strain. He served in the Civil War from Ohio. He moved to Missouri and then Kansas where he died. He had a son, Walter Hart, b. 1866 in Ohio. Walter Hart m. Matilda Hines. Their son, Kirk Hart, b. 1900 in Kansas. G. W. Hart stated that he spoke (only) French until he was about 11 years old. Possibly learned from his grandparents, but may also have been the primary language of his father. (2) Henry Augustus Hart was the other son of Ezekiel. Both sons of Ezekiel are named in the will of their grandfather, George Evrard. Thanks, Ardell Lynds
