Always looking for any one that has information on a Levi Hart that may have lived in NYC in the 1840's. I have a Sarah Ann Hart that married John P. Chamberlin in NYC in 1847. I beleive that Sarah was born in Hackettstown, Warren County, NJ in 1819. On the marriage record Sarah's father is listed as Levi Hart (it is possible that it may be Lewis but I don't think so). My great-grandfather, George HART, married Maude WITSITT. I don't know where they were married, but according to an IL census entry for my grandfather, they were both born in Indiana, as was my grandfather, Fred L Hart, in 1882. Does anyone have a George and Maude Hart in Indiana about 1882? I am just starting to do some research in Indiana. Dear Hart Researchers, Our home in Seguin, Texas was flooded October 17th. We lost virtually everything. However, things are just things -- some we can do without and some we can replace. Does anyone have the genealogy of the 1930's era musician named Lorenz Hart. He went by the name of Larry, I think. His father Max was from Germany. He also had a brother named Teddy. I am especially interested in the names of Max's brothers, of which the music book I looked at said he had several. They lived in New York. Thanks for any info. John Hart (2) grew cotton in the Marquesas islands and was considered an extremely powerful and wealthy man. He tried to have the Marquesas Islands annexed by the USA.
