In Scotland that was the first year of mandatory Civil Registration, and it ended up being the ONLY year so many questions were asked of the Informant. These Registrations contain a nice lot of good information. Will post them separately. 1855 Deaths, Culross Perthire entry #27. Anne HARROWER. 16 years old lived Culross since birth. Daughter of John HARROWER, deceased and Helen HARROWER maiden name also was HARROWER. She died Oct 3, town of Culross at 5am of Typhus duration 16 days. Certified by Surgeon John Scott who last saw deceased Oct 2nd. Buried in Abbey Churchyard in Culross, certified by James Aikman, Undertaker, Culross. Informant was John HARROWER, brother.
