I have never gotten much further with the Thorntons either other than seeing from Frances' marriage certificate that her father was called Jeopath ??(or possibly Joseph if it was written incorrectly??) and that the family came from the Hylton area of Durham. Also noted on Jane's Birth certificate is that a TIME of birth was written in, and since that was often used when twins were present if this was the case there? But have found no answers.
