    3. Hi Frank, Many thanks for the info and great work on your "re-enacting" hobby. Sounds great. If there is a website or youtube site I could see this as that period plus another 100 years also interests me. I have spent quite a few hours going through the "Harrowers" from both sides of the civil war and it is quite interesting how "we" started as privates and ended up as officers. That must be the creative side. The period you are involved in would be difficult to track via the net? As for your travel costs to Scotland - That price seems too high but then again I don't know the costs of airfares ex USA? Booking up-market hotels and accommodation through travel agents is just too costly. Australia is considered the "arse" end of the world (excuse the language) and the adult return airfare is $2200.00 to UK/Ireland (We are going over to Ireland in July for the christening of our Grandaughter - My daughter married an Irish guy and all his family and friends flew to Aust for the wedding so we thought best for the Christening in Ireland. Back to the costs of travel in UK/Ireland/Scotland - Do it all yourself by booking on the internet "B & B" accommodation is great, friendly, great breakfasts and cheap @ $70.00 Euro in total a night for the room (2 people) in Ireland and Scotland and a bit dearer but Pounds in England Book your first night in Edinburgh and just knock on the door of any B & B as you drive a long - Car hire is cheap as well about 200 Euro for a week for a small car and book on line as well. Make your own lunch and dinners are very reasonbly priced at pubs that are a history buffs dream. We slept in a B & B that was built in 1770 - The year Capt Cook discovered Australia. Airfares in and around UK/Ireland/Scotland are extremely cheap if you want to get around check out www.ryanair.com travel late or very early and its cheap (safe and good) $1.00 flights but the taxes are dearer than the flight. My wife is flying to Boston this coming Saturday for a week - She is in the jewellery trade and she sells "hearts on fire" diamonds and the owners and Head Office is in Boston. Where are you located?
