The last Harrower email I got was in June of 2010. I'm always seeking more information about my immigant ancestor Peter Harrower born 1759 at Cleish Kinross about 26 KM northwest of Edinburgh. I do not know when he left Scotland but he did end up in Berne in Albany County, NY, USA by the early 19th century. My late grandmother, Ruth Vera Harrower Soule 1892-1985 knew very little of her family and told me nothing. Her father was not pleased with her by marrying my grandfather who was a shoe salesman in Chicago at the time. He did better ending up as National business manager for Conde' nast publications.  Her mother was Edna Mae Farrar Harrower [born ? died 1928] and that is the only line that I have a complete stone wall. I have tried the Farrar rootsweb site but no one can help. Perhaps when I retire in a few years I can try again to complete this family record.
