He moved his family to Delaware Co, NY by 1780s or 1790s. His unknown wife died there 1810 or before, and he wasn't listed 1820 census. I figured his age by the general birthyears of his known sons Benjamin 1763, David Jr, 1769, & Dugald abt 1776 Scotland. Can anyone place this man & family? Who had he married, any daughters - anything more!

This bunch descends from David born before 1745 somewhere in Scotland who was in Delaware Co, NY by the 1780s. I'm just now making inquiries there to learn his wife's name and any birth/death dates.

I am from the Peter Harrower line from Albany, NY. It's not a very prolific branch and I do not know if they were part of a larger family. but I will post a brief snopsis if that would be helpful. I also have no idea of the date 1759 Peter Harrower immigrated to America. John Harrower of Cleish, Kinross, Scotland married a Margaret Thomson. Their birth and death dates are unknown to me. Their child was: Peter Harrower born 08 June 1759 at Cleish, Kinross, Scotland died 01 January 1827 at Perth, Fulton Co., NY. - married Euphemia Kirk Peter Harrower, Jr. 1786-1827 John B. Harrower 1813-1890 Walter J. Harrower 1863-1949 Ruth V. Harrower 1892-1985 Ruth Harrower was my grandmother who poured a lot of love into this child. . Sincerely, Frank F. This bunch of Scots arrived at Delaware Co NY about 1780s, with the pattern of naming firstborn sons for the father. John's father was Benjamin son of Benjamin son of David. I've identified 3 sons of immigrant David: David Benjamin & Dugald, all born Scotland. Around the same time a Peter Harrower showed up around Albany NY who is not David's brother, perhaps they were cousins.

I have not learned much about those children, maybe only 3. i *think* John's father was Benjamin b 1763 Scotland, son of David born bef 1745. David emigrated to NY about 1780s as best I can find so far.
