The following obituary appeared in the Idaho State Journal (Pocatello) December 29, 1999. All towns referred to are in Southeast Idaho unless otherwise specified: Maxine H. Carter WESTON- Maxine Harrison Carter, 74, passed away Monday, December 27, 1999. She was born Feb. 4, 1925, in Bountiful, Utah, the daughter of William Charles and Zelma Nelsen Harrison. She married Eldred Irwin Carter on June 11, 1955, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was sealed in the Logan Temple on June 28, 1995. She was very dedicated to her family and was so happy when she saw her grandchildren. She loved and appreciated her Relief Society sisters and her ward members. Maxine loved life and was always happy. She was a good mother-the best mother anyone could ever ask for. She was well loved and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband, Eldred, of Weston; a daughter and three sons, Jolene Mae (Sylvester) Martin, Ogden, Utah; William (Billy) Irvin Carter, Weston; James Eldred Carter, Weston; Thomas J. (Kate) Carter, Logan, Utah; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and by three sisters, Bernice (Harold) Raymond, McCammon,; Wilma Hall, Mesa, Arizona; and Juanita (Arnold) Beus, Weston. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, in the Weston Second Ward Chapel with Bishop Jay Hurren conducting. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Webb Funeral Home and Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church.
