    3. Mt second great grandfather was William Henry Harrison from Surry County, North Carolina. The first record I have of him is in Linneus, (Linn Co.) Missouri in 1850 census of tat area. He was about 30 years old at the time, and was a blacksmith living with a Marshall Harrison (a wheelwright). Marshall was some years older and they both gave their place of birth as Surry County, NC. Whether they were brothers, or uncle and nephew, or what I don't know. William signed many documents with an 'X' and in several different documents variously gave different birth years as 1816, 1820, and 1824. All of these documents were official, such as census, military, and retirement records. I am sure he didnt know his own age. Are there any records you may be aware of that would put either of these two in NC? My lineage is as follows: William Henry Harrison John William Harrison Harry Kurtis Harrison Evelyn May Harrison Maurice Edward Arnold I would, and many Harrisons all over Illinois, Colorado, and Oregon will be grateful if you have any info that may help in our quest. We are sure that none remain in Missouri in this line. Ed Arnold
