    3. Hi! Thanks, Carol, for answering my query! I thought that I had covered almost all the bases on Mary SMITH HARRISON, but see that I neglected to give some important info so I'll add it below: Mary SMITH was born about 1845 in Ormstown, seven siblings, including at least four brothers. She was the daughter of Patrick SMITH and Catherine COUGHLIN, both born in Ireland. She left sometime after the 1871 Canadian census. Brothers include: Patrick SMITH, b.abt 1842 in QUE, settled in Verona, Grundy Co, IL.; Thomas settled in York, NEB. by 1918, possibly earlier. Michael b. 1850, QUE. died in 1905 in San Francisco, CA James died in QUE in 1918.. The obituary of her brother James (died in Canada), indicates that she was still alive and in Fresno in Feb 1918. Her brother Michael ended up in San Francisco. Michael's obituary in Aug 1905 says his sister was Mrs Mary HARRISON of Fresno. From the 1900 census of Fresno County, Third Township Mary HARRISON was a widow with 3 living children and came to Us in 1877. She had 2 children living at home Alicia aged 18 and Katie aged 14 both born in California. The other child may be a son, name and sex is unknown. Their father, Mr. ___?____ HARRISON, according to the census, was born in Nova Scotia, Canada. They may have been married in Quebec, or met and married in the USA. I would especially like to find any descendants and also any and all possible information about her husband, Mr. __?__ HARRISON, including of course, his first name. I am now going to 'unsubsribe' and 'resubscribe' on the Digest mode. Should have done that at at the start! Thanks!!!!!!!! Joanne in CA at erictem@earthlink.net
