    3. There is a book about James Harrison and his wife Elizabeth Hampton; a very large book: "The Venturers, The Hampton, Harrison and Earle Families of Virginia, South Carolina and Texas" by Virginia G. Meynard; Southern Historical Press 1981 but reprinted several times since thn. , 1113 pages. This book does not go as far back in the Andrew Harrison Family lineage as does TooFem@aol.com in her response to you but other books do and other books and papers explore other branches not included in this book. Wort Ray in his books especially TENNESSEE COUSINS goes into some other early branches since he is from one of those branches. Also ther is controversy about the earliest Andrew Harrison in America. Worth Ray claims he was the son of Anthony Harrison, but a well documented small book, "A Comment on the Family of Andrew Harrison Who Died in Essex Co. VA in 1718" by James E. Harrison 1986. This book claims that James was the son of a Souseman (sausage maker) of London in considerable detail. I would like to point out that Elizabeth (Hampton) Harrison was the sister of Wade Hampton, considered the wealthiesst man in America, and James Harrison was quite wealthy also and so were many of the siblings and descendants.
