The following obituary appeared November 28, 1999, in the Salt Lake Tribune and in the Deseret News: Adella Harrison Welker Sunday, November 28, 1999 BOUNTIFUL--Adella Harrison Welker, age 97, passed away peacefully Nov. 24, 1999 at the home of her daughter. She was born Dec. 5, 190l to John William Harrison and Mary Miller in Auburn, Wyoming. She married Charles Wesley Welker Sept. 12, 1917 in the Logan LDS Temple. He died Aug. 11, 1968. Adella lived most of her married life in Logan. She was active in her church, and especially enjoyed serving in the Relief Society. She also enjoyed doing temple work in her later years. She loved raising flowers, sewing, quilting, and raising vegetable gardens. She spent many hours canning and preserving fruits, vegetables, jams and jellies. She was totally devoted to her family, many of whom were raised during depression and war times. We are fortunate to have had her in our lives. Adella was preceded in death by a sister; four brothers; her husband; and three sons, Loyal Wesley (infant), Doaine C., and Lyle H. (Ruth). She is survived by her sister, Rhea Abersold, Riverside, CA; children Lorna Bornn and Julia Pitkin (Jay), Bountiful; Garr W. (Alice), St. George; George R. (Annetta), Spokane, WA; Ivan A. (Isolde), SLC and daughter-in-law Ruth, Tooele; 20 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and seven great great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 30, 1999 at 11 a.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful. Friends may call at the mortuary from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening and from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
