Hi Kathy, I am extremely happy to hear from you gal!!!! LOL Your Jeremiah HARRISON, b. 9-11-1876, d. 5-28-1959 is MY Jeremiah "Jerry" HARRISON!! I knew he died in the late 50's, I attended his funeral, but I was just a kid at the time and couldn't remember just when it was. I have just started on this line this past weekend, after receiving a copy from SSDI of Willie Hugh HARRISON's original application, which listed where he was born, and listed his parents names. It would appear that James Henderson HARRISON moved his family from Grundy County to Franklin Co sometime after 1876, because I found that Jeremiah was born 1876 in Parmley Hollow, Grundy Co. TN. Jeremiah's children I think were all born in Franklin Co, but I can only be sure that 4 of them were born in Cowan, Franklin Co. Jeremiah married Annie Rebeca Parmley (the Rebeca spelling is taken from the SSDI copy), she was born 1-5-1880, Parmley Hollow, Grundy Co.TN. Annie died 1956/57, Miami, FL Their children were: And I am not sure of the order here 1. Earnest, b. 1903 TN, d. 12-1971 Miami, FL 2. Snowy, (dau) no info 3. Geraldine, no info 4. Paul C. b. 1912 Cowan, Franklin Co, TN, d. 12-1983 Umatilla,FL 5. Willie Hugh, b. 7-14-1913 Cowan, Franklin CO,TN d. 4-14-1980 Miami, FL (twin) m/ Christine T. Crabb (my stepfather & mother) 6. Sally Sue (Suzanne) (twin), b. 7-14-1913 Cowan, Franklin Co,TN 7. Dixie (son), b. 1916 Cowan,Franklin CO, TN, d. 1987 Wintersprings, FL. 8. ?? There were 8 children in all and I can't account for one, perhaps died. Apparently they moved to Miami, FL. while some of the kids at least were still living at home, because Willie Hugh went to the same High School that I did. Annie Rebeca Parmley was the dau of Henson Greenland Parmley, b. 7-12-1838 TN, d. 1-21-1911 Grundy Co.TN and Margaret J. Cowan, b. 6-1847 Marion Co,TN, d. 8-6-1919, Tracy City, Grundy Co,TN. I have long been searching for any HARRISONS from Franklin Co., Tn. I think we may connect. This is some of what I have. My ancestor, James Henderson HARRISON b 1845 in Franklin/Grundy?? co., Tn. He died in 1896. He married Sally Ann GIBSON in 1867. I have 11 children listed for James & Sally..one of them being my grandfather, Harvey Lee HARRISON, the youngest child b 1896.... I believe, in Sewanee, Franklin Co., Tn. I have their fifth child listed as Jeremiah HARRISON b 11 Sep 1876 - 28 May 1959. I also have a Jeremiah HARRISON b ca 1824 in the Grundy Co. census and married to Betty Ann HILL.....who we have THOUGHT could be the parents of our James Henderson HARRISON. I have rec'd this info from another family member...and have not checked it out for myself...although I know the info on my grandfather, Harvey, and Harvey's father to be true.
