William Grant is shown in the 1870 and 1880 Jackson County, WV. Census with his parents. In the 1900 Census he is with his wife Mary E. and son Henry W. General William Harrison was the son of Reuben H. Harrison, Jr. and Sarah Elizabeth GOOD. Jerusha Ann HATCHER was the daughter of Uriah Hatcher and Matilda EDENS. General and Jerusha were the parents of nine children. I found this description of General William Henry Harrison in a Jackson County, WV. Deed Book. Gen. W. H. Harrison, 5' 9" tall, dark complexion, black eyes, dark hair. This sentence will be used should there be anything in the conduce or physical condition of the soldier rendering him unfit for the Army.
