He was sick only an hour and had just reassured his wife that he would soon be alright. He was one of the prominent old citizens of the county and none was more honored and respected. H was born in Franklin County, IL on 19 May 1821; in 1850 he wed Miss Margaret M Humphry, who lived about two years, leaving one daughter, Mrs W C Burr of Laredo, Texas. He married the second time in 1857 to Miss Laura M Annear, who survives together with their children, Mrs J C Snyder and Lemuel B Harrison of Christopher; Albert Harrison of Mulkeytown, and Mrs W F Spiller and Mrs W P Seeber of Benton. He served during the civil war and rose to the rank of Captain. 07 Jun 1913 Albert Johnson Harrison died at his home in Christopher, Illinois, Saturday, May 31st. He was the son of the late Isom Harrison, deceased, and Mrs Laura Harrison, of Mulkeytown. He is survived by his wife, six children: Mrs P R Lyon, Edward, Bessie, Blanche, Edith and Lolette Harrison; four sisters, Mrs W F Spiller and Mrs W P Seeber of Benton; Mrs Charlotte Burr of Laredo, Texas; Mrs J C Snyder and one brother, L B Harricson of Christopher. He was buried in the new cemetery at Mulkeytown. 12 Oct 1935 Joseph C Snider, son of the late Solomon and Mary Snider, was born in Christopher, 15 Nov 1857; and died at his home in Christopher this morning, aged 78. He wed Miss Effie Harrison on 24 Jun 1885, daughter of the late Isom and Laura Harrison of Mulkeytown. A daughter and son were born to them, Mrs Myrtle Penrod and Ward Snider, both of Christopher. At one time he was considered one of the wealthiest men in Franklin County. Burial will be at the Harrison Cemetery. 26 Dec 1941 Death came this afternoon to Mrs Ella Harrison Spiller, 79, widow of William Franklin Spiller. She had been in ill health since returning to Benton six weeks ago. She was born in Mulkeytown 30 Oct 1862, a daughter of the late Isham and Laura Harrison. She married Mr Spiller 25 Feb 1883, he was the deputy county clerk at that time. They spent their entire life in Benton. Her parents lived close to the Bible and she was raised in the Christian faith. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs Clara Allen, Benton and Mrs Pearl Adamson, Albany, Texas; two sisters, Mrs Elfie Seeber, Benton and Mrs Effie Snider, Christopher, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband who died 27 Apr 1925? and three sons, Oscar Frank, Perian B, and Isham Harrison Spiller.
