I'm still hunting for the parents of my ggg grandfather, Vincent Dilliard Harrison, b. Dec. 1801 TN; died July, 1857, Bartholomew Co., IN. He first shows up on the 1830 IN federal census in Bartholomew County along with other Harrisons with the first names of Carter and Henry. He does not appear to be the same Vincent Harrison who was a twin to Obed and shows up in Pickaway County, OH about the same time. Other early Harrisons in Bartholomew County were father and son, Thomas and William. I've been part of Becky Bonner's Harrison Genealogy Repository almost from the start so you can see my information there. Vincent first married Nancy Keith and I am descended from them. I'm fortunate to still have my grandfather living (he's 96). He knew Vincent's son, Walter, who was born in 1841 very well so we have a great contiuum of information back to Walter and of Walter's time in the Civil War. Three of Vincent's sons were in the Civil War but only Walter survived. I had always seen Vincent's name with the middle initial D but did not know what it stood for until I obtained some of his land records. The middle name is spelled Dilliard (with the extra i). I have alot of information on his descendants and would happy to share it. Thanks for looking. Kay Harrison Taber San Jose, CA
