With the help of other cousins, we think we have maybe found parents for our Abel Harrison b. 1809 in NC (we believe now to be Wilkes County) who married Asseneth?. We now believe his parents to be Daniel Harrison and ?. Daniel is the son of Joseph Harrison and Druscilla Bentley Harrison of Wilkes or Wautaugha County, NC. There apparently have been extensive research back from Daniel but not much is known on Daniel. We have a letter written to Abel Harrison in River Hill, Tn Feb. 29, 1856 from Bently Harrison from Union Co. Ga. Bently is the son of Joseph and Druscilla also. In the letter he refers to Abel as "brother" and talks about moving to Tn. There were so many Joseph Harrisons in this area it is really confusing.
