Soldier in the Revolutionary War. Married Henrietta Maria HARDEMAN - they had four children: Sarah Elizabeth (married Thomas Mattox), Duke, Marcy, and Susanna (married Jesse Binford - and disowned because of it!) My problem is - an old genealogy that names his parents as Robert (I) and Elizabeth Harrison, and grandparents as Benjamin IV and Anne Carter Harrison. All of MY research says that Robert (I) and Elizabeth only had two sons - Collier and Braxton, so my Robert (II) can't be theirs. Or can he? Anyone know who his parents are? Way too many Harrisons with the same first name in Virginia, if you ask me! (And my mother was one of them . . .) Thanks for any help! (1) Elizabeth Collier and (2) Elizabeth Hill in 1754.With 1st wife there was one child named Collier Harrison b. Abt.1750; d. 1809. Waterloo) 2)Ann TODD BOND (widow) on Mar. 9, 1837 in Monroe Co., IL (prob. Waterloo) 3)Elizabeth Catherine DeLAUNEY WILSON (widow) on Nov. 4, 1841 in Waterloo, Monroe, IL. My line descends from the 3rd wife and they had nine children, not all living to adulthood. Thomas also had siblings: Mary, George, John, William, Obed and Vincent (twins), and Cuthbert (not necessarily in order of birth. I believe they were all born in VA and arrived in IL as youngsters in the Plum River Pct. of IL. Any info would be of great help and gratefully accepted! They had six sons: John Peyton (1749-?), Burr (abt.1749-?), Thomas (1750-?), Valentine (1751/1752-?), Seth (abt.1755-?), and Cuthbert (1757-?). John Peyton HARRISON did not have a son named Thomas or Cuthbert, but I don't know anything about children of the other sons. I would also try to trace the sons of Burr HARRISON and Mary Ann BARNES. They had four sons: Matthew (1763-1807), Burr (1767-?), Cuthbert (1768-?), and Thomas (1774-abt.1820). Matthew m. Catherine ELZEY. Thomas m. Miss DADE. This is all I know on them.
