    2. This caught my eye, as I have a William Pope Harrison in my database. Unfortunately, the dates aren't the same as yours - however, both lived in GA. And my Harrisons had a stong presence as Methodist ministers, also. He preached in various places until 1879, when he was elected chaplain of the U.S. house of representatives, and served as such during the 46th and 47th congresses, 1879-83. In 1882 he was elected book editor in the publishing house of the Southern Methodist Episcopal church, to which position he was re-elected in 1886, 1890, 1894 and 1898.
