    1. [HARRISON] Benjamin Harrison family
    2. I have been searching for my Harrison for some time. All I know is that Elias Harrison was born c1780 probably in TN. He was first married to a Martha and Then married on 19 Aug 1824 to Nancy Haile, daughter of James Lewis Haile and Nancy Ann Craghead. Nancy was previously married to George Kizzee. Family tradition says that Elias was a grand son of Benjamin Harrison, signer of the Declaration of Independence, and cousin to President William Henry Harrison. I have never been able to find any references to Elias' parents or sibling, or any connection to William Henry Harrison. If you could either help me connect my Elias to these Harrisons or help me prove that Elias does not connect to them I would appreciate it. Kathe Edwards

    3. Hi Kathe, I checked my database and several sources, and cannot find an Elias Harrison in the Signer, Benjamin Harison's family. I am descended from Benjamin. One point, if Elias were Benjamin's son, he would not be William Henry's cousin, as President William Henry Harrison was the Signer's son. He would have to be either his son or his nephew. Good luck in your search!
