The one I found is not the Clarence we were looking for but I am posting what I found in case someone else needs it. D. son 6 I next looked for marriages of any of the above: Vernelle HARRISON married Ewell NICHOLS of Ashland (MO - also Boone Co.) on Dec. 19 1933. Ewell was over 21; Vernelle was under 18 and her father Clarence "hereby files his assent." The ceremony was performed by Presiding Judge of Boone County, W. P. CUNNINGHAM. Book 17 page 368 No. 277 Roy Everse HARRISON (>21) m. Ruth Elizabeth NELSON (<18), both of St. Charles, MO. That is in the St. Louis metro area. Ceremony performed at Ashland by Eld. Lloyd SAPP, minister of the gospel on 9 Oct 1946. Book 21 page 190 No. 338. My guess is this is the Ray or Roy E. on the censuses and perhaps they were in school at St. Louis or maybe both went off to seek their fortunes in the big city but came back home to be married. Stonie Christian Harrison (>21) of Ashland m. Bessie Irene Burnett (<21) on June 25 1921. J. T. BURNETT, father of Bessie filed consent. Performed by J. H. HARDY, minister of the gospel. Book 14 Page 338. (This book did not have license numbers). The following may be Stonie's daughter Virginia but if so Bessie is not her mother and Stonie must have married Virgie Lee before marrying Bessie: Virginia Ellen HARRISON (<18) m.
