The description on eBay is as follows: "This 300 page handwritten book of remembrances is a must have for any lover of history. Especially the history of Huntington, West Virginia. This book was compiled by the Rev. Lucien Harrison beginning on March 25th 1930. Lucien was the son of Otis and Ruth Frances Taylor Harrison, was born in Huntington Nov. 8th, 1850, making him 79 years old at the time he began recording his memories. This book without doubt, is the most comprehensive and detrailed recording of names, places, events and dates of an area I have ever ran across. Take notice that he does not concentrate on the Harrison's living in Huntington, but on hundreds of families who have lived in the general area from the time of the Civil War up until he quit writting in this book, about 1932. However, he begins by recording his own lineage to wit, His paternal grandparents, Wm. Henry and Sina (Morgan) Harrison, were born in Frankln Co., Virginia. They moved to Huntington when Lucien's Father (Otis) was about 6 yea! rs old. Wm Henry was a distant cousin of the Harrison Presidents of the US. Harrison's book of memories has been completely indexed with names and place name consisting of eleven pages. Many of the names and places Harrison wrote about (including Lucien's family) are also written in a book "Cabell Co. Annals & Families" by Wallace-1935 Lucien Harrison & family can be found on the 1900 Federal Census Records for Cabell Co. WV. This is a super book in good shape, it has in places pulled away from the binding but still intact and readable. Thanks for looking! " If it were my line of Harrison's, I'd be thinking of picking this one up!
