    3. Very interesting story about Rev. Cravvens and Col. Benjamin Harrison, in spite of the error of confusing Col. Benjamin with the "Signer". Inmy experoence, which is mostly with the Buncombe NC Harrisons, they too very often have the tale of relationship to the James River Harrisons buyt most often they say "cousin" of or "Unlce" or related to President William Harrison. Wrong of course. I have a flmsy theory that Wm Henry, while campaigning for the Presidency had a letter sent to all Harrisons he could find addressed"Dear Cousin" to get out the Harrison vote. . I have heard a story that such a letter did exist in the hands of Rev. Joseph Harrison of the Watauga Harrisons and that the letter was seen by many people, yet somehow dissapepeared. Of course that Watauga Harrison family did have a Harrison named William Henry in it. . The witness of this letter said dthat it was written on White house stationary and signed as President William Henry Harrison. I think it would e questionable that he wrote any letters as Predsident since the day of inauguration he developed pheumonia and died a few weeks later. Dr. CW Johnson
