Tom, Thanks for your reply to my message. I can say that I have also considered variant name spellings - it may originally have been Aertsen. Reason: John Keech HARRISON married Mary Corsen. Corsson/Corssen is a Dutch name. Her immigrant ancestor was Cors Pietersen from Langerarer, Holland, to New Amsterdam. He settled near where Battery park is now on the southern end of Manhattan Island. I have done a little research on the Aertszen name. There is a Jan Aertszen (b ca. 1636) of Brooklyn and Flatbush that had descendants in the North and Southampton, Bucks co PA church records that may be a clue. I posted a quick database report.
