He was supposedly born about 1769 in North Carolina. He married in 1796 to Rebecca Ramsey, and he died in 1837 in Lawrence Co., Mississippi. I believe he is the same Jeremiah I found in the 1790 census in Iradell North Carolina, living next door to a Nathaniel Harrison. Jeremiah and Rebecca had 9 children (I believe). Rhoda, James, Jemima, William, Mary, Green, Albert Jerrymire, Almeda, and Rebecca.

Are there any Jewish Harrisons out there? My Louis Harrison was born in Charleston, SC in 1853. He married in 1874 and moved to Florida. He and Rebecca were Jews. Their first son was born in Olustee, Florida. After that, Louis and Rebecca moved to Lake City. They "retired" after 1900 and went to live near children in Jacksonville. If anyone is researching a Harrison that is Jewish, please contact me. Caroline Byng
