A response to a really old querry... Deborah wrote a long time ago, a note that I just now came across. I did not mean to ignore you. You asked whether a Samuel Harrison was related to these Harrisons of Bedford County, Tennessee. It is possible that Samuel Harrison is related. My line has a few Samuels in it, including the brother of my ggg grandfather. This Samuel Harrison was born much later than yours but he was nine when his father died. Also in my line, the nephew of Nancy (Dobbs) Harrison, John Dobbs went to Fayette County, Alabama. As well as others. So, if you can send me your information, I'll keep an eye out for your Samuel. Incidently, I found some more documents, on my Harrisons of Bedford County and it seems that they centered in the area of Sinking Creek (other surnames in the area include Dobbs, Hastings, Guest, Bryant and Moore). Any one have anybody on Sinking Creek between 1820-1870? TN with great interest. I'm trying to identify the family of Samuel Harrison born in Bedford Co in 1812 (or 1816). He was supposedly orphaned at an early age and then went to Alabama when he was about 16. He moved to Texas before 1849 and lived there until he died in 1908. Could Samuel belong to any of your families? I would appreciate any information on all these families. Thanks, Deborah
