These names are not familiar but I do have a local connection. My Harrisons left Northrop, Lincolnshire, England around 1860. John Harrison was born 1807 and married 2nd Margaret Edwards. They each had children from their first marriages and also had children together. They settled in Warren County, New York State, USA. Until a couple of years ago I had been corresponding with Ellen Harrison Davies in Sheffield, England. I found her parents' address in my my grandmother's papers when she passed away and I located Ellen. We were unable to establish any connection between our two families but I believe John Harrison's oldest son Tom stayed in England and did not come to the U.S. We have had a tough time locating Northrop but did locate the chapel where John and Margaret were married in Sheffield. I would love to make connections on either side of the big pond! Phyllis Reed

The 1860 Census of Hunderton Co has parents John J. and Catharine listed with children: David, Thomas, John, William, Catharine, Higgins, Williamson and Marshal. Bloomsbury is the city in which many of the children were born. The ages (based on future census records) all seem to match up. I hope that this reaches you, as I see your posting is four years old, but I would love to see if the information I have found can be confirmed with yours. I grew up in Colfax, Wisconsin, near Eau Claire, but currently live in Alaska, so much of my research in done on the internet and I am just starting to find answers to my Harrison side. It is wonderful to find a "cousin."

I'm interested in finding any additional info on Aaron Grigsby's(Born 1752-1757 in Stafford VA. Died 1841 in Giles Tenn.) wife, Phoebe Harrison( who are her parents??)(Born 1756 VA. Died 1840? in Giles Tenn.), on page 446 from History of Solano and Napa Counties CA. Author Tom Gregory, Published 1912, the BIO of Terril Lindsey Grigsby (the son of Samuel Harrison Grigsby(Born 18 Sept 1794 in Tenn., Died 28 Mar 1873 in CA) who was the Son of Aaron and Phoebe), reference is made that Samuel Harrison Grigsby served with his Uncle W.H. Harrison in the War of 1812 The Quote: "Mr. Grigsby's father, Samuel Harrison Grigsby, of Tennessee, was a nephew of Gen. W. H. Harrison, and served under his uncle during the War of 1812" As this reference relates that Samuel Harrison Grigsby served with his uncle Gen. W.H. Harrison (William Henry Harrison 9th President of the U.S. and the son of Benjamin Harrison V, Signer of the Declaration of Independence) then this relationship would make Phoebe Harrison (Grigsby) the sister of William Henry Harrison and the daughter of Benjamin Harrison the V.
