However with the Crockett family tie and Augusta County, Virginia I really feel your family is my family of Harrison. Botetourt County was made from part of Augusta county, and Tazewell county from part of Botetourt County. I would love to get more on what you have. Please email me at: HomerH2@aol.com

We are looking for information on a GEORGE HARRISON who together with JOSEPH HARRISON and two HAYTON gentlemen, received a landgrant for 1525 acres of land at Natchez, MS. The grant, assumed to be British, was issued Aug 16, 1768. The two HARRISONS may have been brothers from SC. A third brother JAMES from SC settled in TN. The father of the three men was HENRY HARRISON, born 1738. We know nothing about the HATTON/HAYTON Families. Any scrap of information would be appreciated. Gratefully. Dover
