I am working hard to bring you more resources for your research. The latest addition is Dr. Johnson's Harrison Notes July 1996, 29 pages: http://moon.ouhsc.edu/rbonner/Johnson/JHN0796part1.htm Please keep Dr. Johnson in your prayers for a speedy recovery. He is recovering from throat cancer and hopefully will regain his strength soon to resume his HARRISON work. I think of Dr. Johnson as a walking textbook of Harrisons and hope some day to know just half of what he carries in his brain! I will continue to transcribe, as fast as I can, his Notes that he wanted to share with all of you. I am working on another search engine solution to help you quickly find info at our site. You have all been quiet lately ... hope that doesn't mean that you have stopped your research! I continue to firmly believe that sharing and discussing our research will help tremendously in solving our Harrison mysteries. thank you all for participating! There is some evidence of a marriage of a Rebecca Harrison to a John Ogle in Blount County, Tennessee around 1830. Then afterwards some of the Harrison family moved along with the Ogle's to Williamson County. Does any one have other information on this? Dave Ogle, Arlington, Texas

Hello everyone, my 6th great grandma was Catherine Griffin Harrison, who married Josiah McKinnon, she had six brothers named Charles, Benjamin, William Battaile, John, Rueben Campbell, Medford Harrison, and two sisters named Francena and Mary Harrison, I have nothing on them though. Josiah McKinnon's mother was Nancy Harrison, I was wondering if anyone has any photographs of any Harrisons from my branch. Maybe you can send it over email so I can see them. Thanks a lot in advance. Norberto M. Morales III

Does anyone on this list have a Patsey Harrison in their genealogy? On the 1850 census of Polk Co., Missouri she was 43 yrs. old, and said she was born in No. Carolina. (Born 1807) Who were her parents? She md. Andrew Posey 1838 in Polk Co. Mo. They are not on other census in Missouri. Thanks for any help you can give. C.E.
I am looking for information on my great-great grandfather, Joseph B. Harrison, born November 8,1832 in Pike County, GA according to his Civil War pension application. Census records indicate he was born in NC. He married Emily Collins(born May 14, 1846), date unknown, reportedly in Alabama. First child, Bedie O'Neal Harrison was born in 1861. Other children were Nancy, Jessie (female), Stella, Molly, Lee Asia (male), Emma and Sidney. Family lore is that he was in school in Alabama and met Emily and married her, much to his family's dismay. They objected to the age difference and her young age. She would have been 15 when her first child was born. He served in Co. K, 5th Ga. Regiment Volunteers. He was paroled at Greensboro, NC He lived in Clayton County for some time and then later in Campbell County. He is buried at Ramah Baptist Church in Palmetto, GA. He died in 1912. Any information would be appreciated. There may be a connection to the Nathaniel Harrison family that moved to Campbell County, GA from Buncombe County, NC. Would love to have info to prove or disprove that. Thanks in advance, Sheila Quinn **Would you like to benefit from the online explosion? To my family, friends and New Cousins, There seems to be so much worry lately about Identity Thefts and since my Mother's Maiden Name is very much public knowledge because of my Genealogy research -- I took the plunge and called my credit card bank and asked them if I could change what they asked for verification instead of my Mother's Maiden name. They said, "Of Course!" -- and gave me the option of what question I would like for them to ask instead. I picked one, and now I know that if someone wants to steal my identity -- that is, at least, one way they will not be able to do it. If you did not know you could do this, you may want to consider doing the same!
