    3. HI, Sorry we don't have many HARRISONs in our database for this time period. This web page will provide info on how to obtain vital records in England. I am posting this response to our list because we have several Canadian and UK Harrisons participating. If you need a certificate but cannot visit the Family Records Centre in person, please telephone 0151 471 4800 or e-mail certificate.services@ons.gov.uk for further information and details of fees. 1. [HARRISON] Barzilla
    2. Becky Bonner
    3. Hi all, I am looking for more info on Barzilla in particular as I think he may be a father to our Elizabeth. He is likely related to John HARRISON and Sarah MIDDLETON, possibly cousin to John HARRISON and Patsy DANIEL, and probably several others in our database. I have read messages posted to the list last summer ... hoping something new has been found or something below will ring some bells. We are getting closer to solving this puzzle! 1. Barzilla HARRISON, 31612. Born ca 1751 in SC? died in Apr 1817 in Bedford Co., TN. Residence: (Pendleton Co., 96th Dist, SC?); Surry Co., NC; Bedford Co., TN. Rev. War NC Line I think this may be the Barzilla who was on the 1790 SC census (1790 HARRISON BARZILLA Pendleton County SC page 011 District 96 Federal Population Schedule SC 1790 Federal Census Index). Not sure who is the Barzilla on the Franklin Co., GA page 12 tax list 1803- but might be one in the same also.[51] REVOLUTIONARY WAR RECORD # R 4675 State of Tennessee, Bedford County see: http://moon.ouhsc.edu/rbonner/harrisonmil/barzillaharrison_r4675_hhv3n1.html for widow's pension app rejected due to lack of proof that she was married to Barzilla. A page from the family bible was submitted s. On 12 Dec 1775 when Barzilla was 25, he married Ann, 31613, in Bedford Co., VA. Born on 10 Feb 1754. died on 7 Mar 1849 in Bedford Co., TN. Alice Casey (email address unknown) posted that Barzilla had 10 children - names unknown. We have no parents listed for the following three HARRISONs that might be brothers: HARRISON Barzilla Ann ca1750-1817 Bedford Co., VA; Surry Co., NC; (Pendleton Co., SC? in 1790); (Franklin Co., GA 1803); Bedford Co., TN HARRISON William P. 2. Carol McCoy
    3. I have recently rejoined this list after a year's absence, and I am surprised there is little activity on the list other than those interested in the HARRISON presidents. Is the list now restricted to that lineage? I am researching my grgrandparents Arthur and Jane Ann (ARMITAGE) HARRISON who emigrated from Yorkshire, UK in 1885/6. Children born in the UK who emigrated were Ezra (1872), Emma (1875), Albert (1879, Lillie (1881) and Ernest (1883). Children born in the US were Mary (1886), Fred (1888), Arthur Jr (1890), Lucy (1893) and Robert (1896). The family first settled in Scranton, KS (not PA) and later moved to Richmond, MO, Kansas City and St. Joseph, MO. Ezra m. Emily WILD; Lillie married Frank GOSSAGE; Emma HARRISON married George PALFREYMAN; Mary HARRISON married 1)Edward HARRISON & 2)Claude VANBEBBER. My grandparents were Fred HARRISON and Maude JONES. Many members of the family are buried at King Hill in St. Joseph, MO. Carol Harrison McCoy

    3. To see the largest ancestor charts available of President William Henry Harrison and President Benjamin Harrison, try the newest version of the Presidential Family Forest (one of three Family Forests on the American & European Family Forest Millennium Edition CD). Progeny Software's Family Explorer produces the most amazing ancestor charts available. A 50 generation ancestor chart of President Benjamin Harrison, with "Include Siblings" de-selected (so that only ancestors appear) and "Cousin Smart" selected (this turns off multiple displays of repeating ancestral lines), fills in 5,246 boxes on the chart. There are nine red arrows on the right side of the chart, which means President Benjamin Harrison's ancestry extends beyond 50 generations in nine places. If you try the same ancestor chart with "Cousin Smart" de-selected (so that ancestors are displayed in every box they belong in), President Benjamin Harrison's 50 generation ancestor chart has 786,195 boxes filled in (you probably do not want to print this one). A 50 generation ancestor chart of President William Henry Harrison, with "Include Siblings" de-selected and "Cousin Smart" selected, fills in 5,209 boxes on the chart. There are eight red arrows on the right side of the chart. Family Forest is a project of connecting the dots of recorded history, and it produces views of history that cannot be found anywhere else (and that are far too large and numerous to be web-based yet). Every link has a source notation just a mouse-click away. We do not attempt to verify what the experts have said, but we do point you to the exact book and page where they said it, and we do point to any place we find where another expert disagrees. Some of the other presidents (as well as European royalty and many average Americans) have larger ancestor charts than the Harrisons. Bruce H. Harrison Millisecond Publishing Company, Inc. 3. Apparently Harrisons were Indians or Indian traders, as I found them listed in the index of a book called "South Carolina Indians, Indian Traders, and other ethnic Connections Beginning in 1670." The book index is listed at http://members.aol.com/rarebk Go to the booklist page, and then scroll down till you see the book, and invoke the index. The site also has the 1835 Cherokee census listed within a Cherokee Genealogy "tutorial" and other Indian lists and genealogical data. I find it quite interesting that your query is on the Harrison list, as I have thought that believed that Elinor was a Harrison. She did marry an Edward Davell after Henry Wilkins died, and I think that she was in Prince George County, Virginia at the time of her death in 1800. Somewhere I got the opinion that Henry Wilkins was from Charles City County, Virginia, as that was where the Roysters were prior to their settling in Mecklenburg County, Va. I am descended through Joseph and Nancy Ann Wilkins Royster's son, Henry, and his wife Frances Draper, daughter of Solomon Draper. I would be glad to hear from you and anyone who is interested in these families. Best regards, John Fox Winston-Salem, NC
