France White was his Mother. I have looked into the two wifes before. He was married to White in 1776 so Tinsley had to be his first wife or he had two wifes at the same time. Though with just Betty Tinsley being in the will she could be the only child that he had with Tinsley. We need to find when she married Battaile and when she died. Also on your web I see where Battailes grandson who was named Battaile married a Tinsley.

Names EX: Frances, daughters, Frankey, Betty Tinsley; sons, Reuben, John, Richard, Jas., and William. Is this your Battaile's Will? 3. Posted on: Harrison Queries Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/FamilyAssoc/Harrison?read=660 Surname: Harrison, Sanderson, Davis, Nall ------------------------- John H. Harrison born 1849 possibly in Alabama. Have heard that his father and a brother were killed in Civil War. He was left to care for his mother and one or two sisters after the War. He married Abby Elizabeth Sanderson in early 1870's. She also was from Alabama. Have found her family in Coffee County. After marriage they moved their family to Mississippi and lived for some time in different counties, Simpson and Wayne County being two counties that have been documented. There is a possibility that John is the son of James and Elizabeth Harrison of Georgia but I have no proof of that as of yet. If anyone can shed some light on this family, I would appreciate it.

    2. In a message dated 6/9/00 9:14:16 AM Pacific Daylight Time, sheep@digital.net writes: << Has the poison story been documented anywhere? If not, could you share the details? Thanks, Barbara Fowler >> Barbara, As far as I know the poison story has not been documented. All I know is that my grandmother said President Harrison was "some kind of cousin" to her grandmother and that the family said he was poisoned. I believe my grandmother was relating what she had heard, but I think if he was closely enough related for the family to know that, she would have known what kind of cousin he was. She also said the family called him "Old Tip" but then, so did the rest of the country as far as I know. There may have been a relationship, but I sincerely doubt that my ancestor knew him personally. It's always fun to speculate though! My ancestor was Terzah or Thirsa Harrison of Belmont Co., OH. She married William Dawson there in 1822. Her father was Moses Harrison of Belmont Co.....don't know where he was born. Susan
