Who was the father of the Benjamin Harrison who made his will in 1789 Brunswick County, Virginia and it was probated in 1790? In his will he names sons Thomas, Benjamin and James and daughters Rita, Harriet, Juditha, Elyn, Rebecca and Mary. He also mention several granddaughters and grandsons. Was the Thomas Harrison who died in Brnswick County in 1801 the son of the above Benjamin? Any help would be appreciated. Betty Maynard Bubatut @aol.com

OUR TIMELINES http://www.ourtimelines.com This site allows visitors to place individuals in their family tree in a historical context, with timelines ranging from 1000 A.D. to the present. Events are color-coded to reflect what type of information they represent (historical event, leadership, technology event, disaster), and you can customize the timeline by adding your own events as well. Some items listed in the timeline (underlined) also contain links to other Web pages with more information on the historical event referenced. Each event lists the age of your ancestor at the time of the event. This can be particularly helpful in determining if an ancestor was of age to serve in the military during various conflicts, which could lead to untapped military records. ============================================================

Posted on: Harrison Queries Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/FamilyAssoc/Harrison?read=687 Surname: Edmund Harrison ------------------------- I am the line des. of James Stinson and Mary Gist, daughter of Benjamin Gist, and Edmund Harrison who married Desedmona McCarty. I am most confused as to Edmunds line as I cannot tell one Harrison from another. The Harrison married into the McCarty line and it's family tradition that they never told the same story twice--so I have lots of Harrison stories that are most questionable! All of the above families are buried in Ft. Wayne, Indiana when and where Jonathan McCarty was serving as a Congressman. He fought at the Battle of Fallen Timbers with Wm H.Harrison.

These failies are surrounded by Harrisons wit deed and wills. Jonathan McCarty --State Congressman from Indiana and fellow indian fighter with Wm H, Harrison at the battle of fallen timbers--married Desedmona Harrison, the daughter of Edmund--Edmund born in Rockingham Co., VA. All are burried in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. I can not for the life of me put these Harrisons together--but I believe Edmund is from one of the Long Grey Trail Lines. The McCartys are from the Shenandoah Valley of VA. James Stinson wa with John Sievers troop at the Battle of King's Mt. in North Carolina and received bounty land . So I have early Harrison names in that area . Wish I could be of more help.
