Posted on: Harrison Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/FamilyAssoc/Harrison/916 Surname: Harrison, Wiseman ------------------------- I am seeking to connect Mary A. Harrison Wiseman with the family of President William Henry Harrison. Mary A. Harrison was born in 1806 and died May 19, 1834 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She married my great-great grandfather Judge John A. Wiseman on January l, 1826. Her oldest son Thomas Jefferson Wiseman stated that she was "a native of Cincinnati and a relative of General Harrison." I have never been able to find her in the known geneology of President William Henry Harrison.

Posted on: Harrison Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/FamilyAssoc/Harrison/914 Surname: HARRISON, DEBOARD, HOWLETT, VAUGHAN, VAUGHN ------------------------- I am researching Benjamin Franklin Harrison, b.1834 in Claiborne Co., Tenn. Father:Elias Harrison. Benjamin married Sallie DeBoard in 1859 in Pulaski, KY. They had children, including Truit Bascomb Harrison, b.20March1876. and resided in Limestone Co., Texas. The 1880 Texas census of Limestone indicated that Sallie had died and Benjamin(called Frank) had married Mary Young.Mary had some boys, then died, leaving Benjamin to tutor the children. One of the sisters of Truit, Kate, died at about 10 years of age. I have some Texas Court records re:will of the grandfather,Able DeBorde. Also court records requesting proof of expenses involved. Another child, Mary Ellie, married a D.G. Howlett in 1888, had a girl, then died the same year. A child called Lillian Howlett appears in the Limestone Co,Tex Census, boarding with relatives. What I am leading up to is the fact that a Thomas Charles Vaughn, b. 20March1876, has family lore identical to that of Truit Bascomb Harrison.........(circumstantial evidence) The documented register for draft in 1917 shows a Thomas C. Vaughn who lists Lillie Howlett as his next of kin. If any of the above comments sound familiar, please email me at: AVON938@aol.com (Anna Vaughn)

Posted on: Harrison Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/FamilyAssoc/Harrison/910 Surname: HARRISON, WHITE ------------------------- Anne - I share your interest in HARRISONS of Alabama, but my problem is I don't know which ones I'm interested in since I have only one name! My ggg-grandmother was LOUSINDA (Sindy) HARRISON born 5 Nov 1849, not sure where. She married SEABORN JONES WHITE probably before 1870 (their first child was born late 1870). They eventually settled in the Excel area of Monroe Co. Alabama where most of their children were born: AARON WHITE, ED WHITE, ELLA WHITE, GEORGE WHITE, LAURA WHITE, WALLACE WHITE, HENRY ROBERT WHITE, DAVID PAUL WHITE, JAMES ALEXANDER WHITE and CALDONIA WHITE. SINDY died 5 Feb 1923 and is buried at New Home Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Goodway in Monroe Co. She and SEABORN were among the founding members of that church. I have information on SEABORN's Civil War Service and copies of a land grant he received in Monroe County in 1896, but no additional information on them prior to their children's births. Am wondering if there is any link to your HARRISONS from Lowndes County?
Posted on: Harrison Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/FamilyAssoc/Harrison/909 Surname: Harrison, Irvin ------------------------- I also wonder why there are not more people interested in the Harrisons of Alabama. James Harrison lived in Lowndesboro, Alabama (Lowndes County) where he built a house and wrote his name on a support under the house. I have seen the signature. He was born abt 1815 (In Virginia, I think.) He was married to Elizabeth A. Irvin. He was in the 4th AL Calvary of the Confederate States of America. He died in 1895. According to our family, he died at the Whitney Hotel in Montgomery, Alanama.
Posted on: Harrison Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/FamilyAssoc/Harrison/908 Surname: Harrison ------------------------- I am trying to locate any information on a John Harrison that would have been born around 1920. He was in Spruce Pine, N.C. around 1937-1940. He was then enlisted in the air force. I am trying to find out if he is still alive, or died during his time with the service and if alive, where he is now. If anyone can possibly help me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You!

Posted on: Harrison Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/FamilyAssoc/Harrison/906 Surname: Harrison ------------------------- How detailed is this book? There seems to be a gap that exists about 1800 where the Harrisons seem to get lost. especially my line. How complete are the list of children and wives? Alabama and Tennessee about 1800 to 1850 have been very unkind in my search. I'll look for the book, but still a little skeptical. Sidney Harrison
